After printing bookmarks, I'm back to linocutting. I wanted to do something a bit sensual and also raw, with nature. I'm always fascinated by people who can show the messy beauty of nature. I'm always doing something that feels too clean for me, but I'm slowly moving towards something interesting.
At first, I left the square edges of the lino, but I wasn't happy with the result (seemed a bit boring and too serious). Cutting them really gives a more smooth impression. When I'm doing proof prints, I always tend to "under carve" my linocuts. After the first print, it's easier to see where I'm going and what need to be changed.
